Italy says it stopped Russian cyberattacks targeting Winter Olympics and embassies

Italian officials say they have prevented a series of cyberattacks linked to Russia. The attacks were aimed at disrupting the upcoming Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina and also targeted Italian embassies and hotels.

Italy's foreign minister, Antonio Tajani, announced that the attacks were foiled. The country's prosecutors are also seeking to seize a computer system called Leonardo, which they believe is connected to the operation.
