Trump drops tariff threats against European allies over Greenland

President Donald Trump has dropped his threat to impose new tariffs on European countries, specifically NATO allies, which he had linked to their stance on U.S. ambitions regarding Greenland. The move came after discussions with NATO leadership and was announced just before Trump traveled to the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Following the decision, U.S. stock markets rallied. However, the European Union has reportedly suspended work on a broader trade deal with the United States in response to the initial dispute over Greenland.
