Opposition Attacks Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar

Indian opposition parties have sharply criticized Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, with Omar Abdullah sarcastically suggesting he be awarded the Bharat Ratna and others calling him a thief. At an INDIA alliance meeting, the Election Commission was accused of acting like puppets, while Sonia Gandhi reportedly snapped at Digvijaya Singh for mentioning Nitish Kumar. The Election Commission also removed an extra SIR declaration from Form 6 in states where the revision is complete.
