Saudi Arabia Hosts Military Talks as Top Cleric Urges War on Houthis

Saudi Arabia's top religious authority, the Grand Mufti, called on troops to fight the Houthis, saying lives may be sacrificed. At the same time, military chiefs from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan are holding an urgent meeting in Saudi Arabia under the Mecca defense pact. The meeting brings the three countries' military leaders together in the kingdom. The talks and the cleric's call come amid ongoing tensions involving the Houthis and Yemen.
