US and UK oppose Israeli steps to expand West Bank settlements

The United States and the United Kingdom have stated their opposition to new Israeli measures aimed at expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank. The US specifically stressed its stance after Israel took steps to tighten its grip on the territory.

UK officials urged Israel to reverse its recent move. The United Nations secretary-general also condemned what he called a new Israeli annexation project in the West Bank.
