UAE Says Iran Fired Two Missiles at Country as War Drags On

On 18 August 2026, the UAE said Iran fired two ballistic missiles at it. Both fell into the sea, one of them in UAE territorial waters. Air defenses detected the missiles, and the UAE issued a brief emergency alert, its first since July 12, then gave the all-clear. Iran denied the attack.

The UAE said it is ready to deal with any threats and vowed a response.
