China and North Korea mark 65th anniversary of friendship treaty

Chinese and North Korean leaders exchanged congratulations on the 65th anniversary of the China-DPRK Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance. Chinese Premier Li Qiang held talks with the premier of the DPRK cabinet. Senior Chinese official Cai Qi attended a reception marking the anniversary. The treaty, signed in 1961, forms the basis of bilateral relations between the two countries.
