Huawei reveals chip design breakthrough despite US sanctions

Huawei has announced a breakthrough in chip design, including plans to produce 1.4nm-equivalent chips by 2031, despite ongoing US sanctions. The new Kirin processor for smartphones is said to overcome the US clampdown, narrowing the gap with industry leader TSMC.
