US moves aircraft carrier and plans military drills in Middle East

The United States has deployed the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East. U.S. Central Command, which oversees military operations in the region, confirmed the carrier's arrival.

At the same time, the U.S. announced it will conduct a multi-day aerial military readiness exercise across the Middle East. These moves come during a period of heightened tensions with Iran.
