Putin comments on Romania drone incident and Ukraine conflict

In Romania, a drone crashed into an apartment building, killing two people, according to Romania, which said the drone was Russian and targeting Ukraine. By 30 May 2026, Putin had said the drone that crashed in Romania was likely Ukrainian. Residents of the Romanian city that was hit said no one feels safe now. The UK defense chief said Britain may deploy more fighter jets to Romania for stronger protection, and Kyiv Post asked whether NATO could invoke Article 4. An MEP quoted by RT said the EU and NATO are pushing Romania toward war with Russia.
