Qualcomm buys AI startup Modular for nearly $4 billion

Qualcomm has agreed to acquire AI software startup Modular for nearly $4 billion in a stock deal. The acquisition is part of Qualcomm's push to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities. Separately, Qualcomm is also in talks to provide custom chip-design services to ByteDance.
