Iran Says No US Talks as Qatar Pushes New Hormuz Ideas

Iran says it has no plans to negotiate with the United States during its delegation's visit to the United Nations in New York, according to state media. Iran also says Qatar will present the US with new ideas aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz. US President Trump rejected a truce proposal and cited wide gaps over truce and Hormuz proposals, but said he expects talks with Iran to resume. The Iranian foreign minister's stay in New York was not extended, a spokesperson said.
