Russia and China Expand Nuclear and Quantum Cooperation

Alexei Likhachev, head of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom, said Russia and China are expanding practical cooperation in quantum technologies. He also noted Russia's share in supplying certain scarce radioisotopes to China. Rosatom and China have extensive joint plans for developing Arctic shipbuilding, according to Likhachev. He said Russian and Chinese leaders regularly discuss cooperation in nuclear energy, and cited Rosatom's construction of two nuclear power plants in China as an example of this collaboration.
