Ecuador orders Cuban ambassador and diplomatic staff to leave

Ecuador declared Cuba's ambassador persona non grata and gave the diplomatic mission 48 hours to leave Quito. Ecuador also withdrew its own representative from Havana. The expulsion was reportedly accompanied by embassy staff burning documents on the roof of the diplomatic building.
