Iran threatens to target regional energy and economic sites if attacked

Iran has issued a warning that it will retaliate against U.S. and Israeli water desalination facilities and other energy infrastructure in the region if its own power plants or energy systems are attacked. Iran also declared that U.S. and Israeli economic and banking interests in the region are now targets, and threatened to deprive the U.S. and Israel of oil, suggesting oil tankers could be hit. Iranian officials warned that a prolonged war would 'destroy' the world economy.
