Xi tells Trump to be careful with US arms sales to Taiwan

Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke with US President Donald Trump by phone. Xi warned Trump that the United States should be "prudent" when supplying arms to Taiwan, which China claims as part of its territory.

Following the call, Taiwan's president said relations with the US remain "rock solid." Separately, Xi also hailed China's ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a separate event.
