Pentagon official requests funding for military operations against Iran

Pete Hegseth, a Pentagon official, said the U.S. military is conducting strikes against Iran-linked militias in Iraq and that more intense action is planned. He stated there is no set timeframe for these operations against Iran.

Hegseth told Congress the Pentagon needs an additional $200 billion to fund these military efforts, arguing that funding is required to continue the campaign. He also indicated that supplying the U.S. military for these operations is now a higher priority than sending aid to Ukraine.
