Lavrov says West is at war with Russia, US policy unchanged under Trump

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov gave an interview to RT India, making a series of broad statements about global affairs. He said the world is returning to a time when strength decides everything, and declared that the West is waging a full-scale war against Russia. On US-Russia relations, Lavrov claimed "nothing is happening" and that while the Trump administration talks about cooperation, it is continuing the same policies as the Biden administration.

Lavrov also praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as one of the world's most energetic leaders, but said Indians themselves must decide what kind of country they want. He argued that Eurasia should play a role in stabilizing the global situation, and accused the US of neocolonialism, including plans to take over a gas pipeline from Ukraine.
