European countries send military forces to Cyprus after drone strike

Several European countries are sending military forces to Cyprus. This follows a drone strike on the island, which some reports say involved an Iran-made drone. The forces include anti-drone systems, frigates, and fighter jets from countries like France, Greece, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Greek politician Yanis Varoufakis said Greece's deployment of frigates and F-16 jets was specifically to protect British military bases on Cyprus. The move comes amid rising security tensions in the region.
