German SPD party proposes social media ban for children under 14

The German Social Democratic Party (SPD) has proposed banning social media access for children under 14 years old. The proposal comes from an SPD policy paper addressing online dangers for young people. Some politicians from the conservative Union parties have also expressed support for social media restrictions for children.
