Japan's snack giant Calbee has switched to black-and-white packaging for its potato chips due to a shortage of ink caused by the Iran war. The conflict has disrupted supplies of naphtha, a key ingredient in ink production, prompting the government to hold hearings with companies. Nissin Flour Milling also changed its pasta bundling tape to plain material for the same reason.
