Siemens and Mercedes-Benz announce major AI and battery deals

Siemens CEO Roland Busch announced the company will prioritize artificial intelligence investments in the United States and China over Europe. He stated, "I cannot" invest in Europe under current conditions, citing the business environment.

Separately, Mercedes-Benz has signed a major electric vehicle battery supply deal with Samsung SDI, worth about $6.7 billion. This is the first such agreement between the two companies and supports Mercedes's shift to electric vehicles.
