India protests to US over killing of Indian sailors

Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar lodged a strong protest with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio over the killing of three Indian sailors in US strikes. Jaishankar said such lethal actions are not justified. He also criticized US double standards on Russian oil, noting the US asked India to buy Russian oil, imposed tariffs, then lifted them. Rubio separately congratulated Russians on Russia Day and reaffirmed calls for peace in Ukraine.
