Broadcom signs deal to make and supply Google's custom AI chips

Broadcom has signed a long-term deal to develop and supply Google's custom AI chips, known as Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). As part of this expanded collaboration, Broadcom will also supply these chips to Anthropic, an AI company, providing it with additional computing capacity.

This deal confirms and formalizes a key manufacturing partnership for Google's in-house AI hardware, which is used to power its own services and those of its partners.
