Germany unveils new military strategy

In Germany, on 22 April 2026, Defence Minister Pistorius presented the country's first military strategy. Defense News reported that it aims to make Germany the strongest conventional military in Europe by 2039. Euronews named range, speed and deterrence as its themes, and Tagesschau wrote that it is meant to make the Bundeswehr resilient to crises.
