Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party is forcing the budget bill through the lower house of parliament on December 13th without opposition party agreement. A member of the junior coalition partner, the Democratic Party for the People, said cooperation is difficult due to what they call rough handling of deliberations. The LDP also plans to discuss reducing the number of lower house seats and aims to revise the Imperial Household Law in a special parliamentary session.
