Lavrov Accuses US of Targeting Russian Oil and Gas Exports

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused the United States of trying to push Rosneft out of international business and of pressuring countries not to buy Russian oil. He said Washington wants to buy the Nord Stream pipelines cheaply from Europeans in order to dictate gas prices. Lavrov also claimed the US wants to take control of Ukraine's transit gas pipeline carrying Russian gas to Europe. He warned that economic damage from the conflict in the Persian Gulf could persist.
