Denmark sends more troops to Greenland and proposes NATO surveillance

Denmark has deployed additional soldiers to Greenland. The move comes amid rising tensions in the region.

The Danish government has also formally proposed that NATO establish a surveillance mission on the island. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) announced it is sending aircraft to Greenland as well, in coordination with Denmark.
