India's Supreme Court Quashes Cases Against Rahul Gandhi and Samay Raina

India's Supreme Court has quashed criminal proceedings against opposition leader Rahul Gandhi over remarks about Savarkar and against comedian Samay Raina and others over comments made on the YouTube show India's Got Latent. The defamation case against Gandhi was cancelled after the Uttar Pradesh government refused to grant sanction for prosecution. The FIRs against Raina and others concerned remarks about persons with disabilities. The court's decisions were reported on Friday.
