Japan's main opposition parties agree to form new centrist political party

Japan's main opposition parties, the Constitutional Democratic Party (CDP/CDPJ) and Komeito, have agreed to form a new centrist political party. This comes as Prime Minister Takaichi is expected to dissolve the Lower House, with an election approaching.
