Egypt: Politics

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held phone calls with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar. He expressed Egypt's full solidarity with Gulf states in facing regional challenges and strongly condemned Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia. These conversations emphasized enhancing Arab national security and continuing consultation to promote regional stability.

In parallel, Egypt is leading a diplomatic push with Pakistan and Turkey to initiate direct negotiations between the United States and Iran to contain regional conflict. The foreign ministers of these countries are coordinating their efforts. Pakistan is set to host a quadrilateral meeting in Islamabad that will also include Saudi Arabia for in-depth talks on the Iran war situation.
