Nigerian military kills Boko Haram fighters and clears terrorist camps

Nigerian military forces carried out air operations that killed 40 Boko Haram terrorists. Troops also cleared out terrorist camps in an area known as the Timbuktu Triangle, thwarting planned attacks. A Nigerian senator named Ndume offered condolences to the troops and the families of soldiers who were killed in the fighting.

The Nigerian military reported a major operation against the Boko Haram militant group in Borno state. They said troops killed a large number of fighters and that other members of the group surrendered.
